Welcome to a new way of setting bridge plugs and cementing.
Welcome to the future.
Welcome to the First Down Oil Services Hydro-Firing Head Single and Dual Stage Firing Systems.
Our Hydro-Firing/Cementing Head provides a one-trip service for setting a bridge plug, then immediately pumps the full volume of procedure-required cement, with the tool remaining in stationary position.
Once the full volume of cement is pumped, the assembly is pulled up through the cement using the patented slotted setting sleeve, providing the ease of pulling without disturbing the pumped cement.
Then by placing the circulating ports at the required top of cement, the washing top-of-cement stage creates a cutting and removing action, displacing any excess cement, and ensuring an accurate top of cement, all in one run.
The Hydro-Firing/Cementing Head is unique in many ways:
METHOD: The Hydro- Firing Head adapts to all standard wireline pressure setting tools including the E-4 and the newest proven compact designed setting tools on the market today, with the shortest BHA available that can be ran on pipe with the same dependable service using the Hydro-Firing / Cementing head.
APPLICATION: The Hydro-Firing Head can be utilized in static or pressurized situations up to 11,500 PSI. The firing pressure can be easily adapted based on well conditions using shear pins.
REBUILD: The Head can easily be rebuilt multiple times on location in 5 minutes without special tools.
MOBILIZATION: The Hydro-Firing Head with its compact design is easily transported in its 2’ x 1’ hardcase for transport in helicopters, or with personnel without the need for trucking or shipping baskets.
VERSATILITY: The Head allows plugs to be set in all types of fluids, muds, and deviations, eliminating the need for excessive multiple pressures and tension pulls. It also allows users to displace a full column of cement as required by procedure, all in a single run.
Single Stage Firing System
The Head works by dropping a single 5/8” ball to its floating circulating piston. This activates an intrinsically safe pressure sequence for setting and shearing of the plug.
Cement is pumped per procedure, then the BHA is pulled up to the desired top of cement. The horizontal 6-port circulating holes cut and wash out any over-displaced cement by pumping excess cement away to the surface leaving a perfect top of cement without vertical jetting damage.
Dual Stage Firing System
The dual stage firing system works by adding another Hydro Firing head and a Perforating Gun from a 3-1/8″ to a 7″ carrier above the stage one setup, then applying pressure to the outside of the lower firing head to a calculated pressure setting the Cast Iron Bridge Plug (CIBP) then start the pumping operations to place cement on top the plug to calculated height needed, then pull Bottom hole assembly (Perforating Gun) to desired depth then by dropping 1.25″ drop ball to pressure the upper Hydro firing head Perforating the well, (with an Optional Tension Packer ) an injection rate and squeeze job can be done at this point of the Operation, Releasing the tension packer, a volume of cement can be placed up the wellbore stopping it below the tension packer before pulling out of the well for tool rebuilding and repeating the operation as many times needed.
